Some history and background
Cubs Unlimited is a facility located at Finleyville airport (G05)
just south of the Pittsburgh area. The shop is owned and operated by
John Waltrowski who is an expert in care and restoration of classic
aircraft especially the tube and fabric variety of J3, PA-18
Supercub, PA-12 Supercruiser, Stearman and various other antique
aircraft. John has 38 years experience in aviation maintenance. He
has worked for Sikorsky helicopters, 25 years with USAirways and 15
years building and modifying Supercubs. He holds an AP/IA license
and is a private pilot with land and seaplane ratings.

Specializing in J3, PA11, PA12, PA14, PA18 Supercub restorations
and modifications. each aircraft is custom built to owner's
specifications.
List of modifications include: popular Alaska mods. reinforced tail
section and cabin area, oversize extended baggage compartrment, 180
lb. baggage/3rd seat mod, Stol kits/VG's, engine conversions,
extended wings and float installations.
These are only some of the mods that are available. These aircraft
are fully certified. We also build brand NEW custom built certified
Supercubs.
We will also help you build your own experimental Supercub.
Our aircraft not only perform well, but they look good and have won
numerous awards, including: Grand Champion J3, Best custom Supercub,
Best custom J3, Best Supercub Amphib. and best custom Stearman.
The staff includes John, and Tom Emery, the RV builder and educator,
and Mike Burcin, who helps with almost everything including the
creation of this web site. Cubs Unlimited also does major repair on
many other makes and models. We now have a web presence to support
the great folks who build and fly these classic aircraft. If you
